Outpatient Mental Health Clinic for Children

Who does the clinic serve?

Chldren ages 3-18 and their families .   

What services are provided??

Individual, family and group therapy (as available). Psychiatric consult can be arranged for psychotropic medication needs.

What types of issues are addressed?

Common behavioral, emotional and mental health issues that children may be suffering from including ADHD, Depression and other psychiatric diagnoses, anger management problems, issues of attachment and familial challenges, trauma, developmental problems and delays, problems with social skills and self esteem, etc.

What if I am not the guardian of the child in my care? Can they still receive services?

The child's guardian will need to contact the clinic to approve the referral as well as arrange to sign all appropriate paperwork before treatment can begin.

How long will treatment last?

Each child and their family are treated on an individual basis; you will work closely with your child's therapist in determining the length of treatment. You will also be asked to take part in regularly scheduled assessments of treatment objectives and goals.

How do I make an appointment for my child?

Contact the Clinical Director at 860-886-7500, ext. 310. After referral information is taken, the child will be matched to an appropriate and available therapist as soon as possible. If we are unable to accommodate your child's particular needs we will refer you to an appropriate provider in the area.
