Our annual Family Fun Day on the Farm was a great success! Almost 700 visitors joined us at the Farm on October 14th for free hayrides, backyard games, animal petting, face painting, tattoos, crafts and food. Most importantly, we got a chance to show off our animal rescue and rehabilitation program to the community.

Highlights this year were handcrafted items provided by WCS staff such as plush crocheted chickens and gorgeous handcrafted clocks and cutting boards in the Info/Welcome tent. With over 25 volunteers including WCS farm staff, Development volunteers, US Coast Guard cadets and friends from GNL Church – there were smiles all over the farm.

This year we asked for sponsorships to help offset Family Fun Day costs and also promote the Friends of the Farm fund – raising $8,000 to help feed and care for our rescued animals and exotic pets. We loved sharing the day with all of you!
