For foster/adoptive parents, staff and even kids! This laid back group gets together to work on handmade crafts. Some parents work on Lifebooks for their children, some knit and crochet, homemade gifts. Bring your supplies and enjoy connecting while you craft.
“A LifeBook records a foster/adoptee’s life that uses words, photos, graphics, the child’s artwork, and memorabilia. A LifeBook tells more than a life story. It represents a unique opportunity for parents to honor every minute of their children’s lives. As for foster parents, this is their chance to give an adoptee/foster child a sweet childhood memory.” Bring your scrapbooking tools and materials, pictures and memories as each person works on creating a memory book for a child. No matter what your level of craftiness, these books are SO important to the kids and teens who have questions about their life.
Adults share their journey and have a blast while crafting. Contact Dawn Caruso to learn more about this group. Ask us about childcare for this group.
