Join us for a discussion of the book “Throwaway Girl” by Kristine Scarrow. The book chronicles the life of Andy Burton who was placed in foster care at 9. She has dealt with abuse, hunger and homelessness and tells her story as an 18 year old about to leave the group home that she’s called home for the last 4 years.
We provide food and wonderful chances to discuss real foster care and adoption challenges during these book groups. Open to anyone. Counts for training hour credit for WCS foster parents.
