This year’s Family Fun Day was a wonderful success! More than 750 guests joined us at the farm to enjoy a day filled with laughter, connection, and hands-on fun. Families took part in hayrides, kids’ crafts, temporary tattoos, face painting, and a delicious barbecue lunch.

Our Agriculture students served homemade squash soup—made from squash they grew themselves—and freshly baked flatbreads from our pizza oven. A special thanks to Flanders Donuts, who generously provided 25 dozen donuts—they disappeared long before the day was over!

New activities this year included horse and carriage rides and caricature artists. Staff showcased both our furry and non-furry friends, sharing about our animal rescue efforts and the therapeutic programs that support children and families in our care.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication of our volunteers, including WCS staff, students from New London High School and East Lyme High School, and many community friends who came together to make the day possible.
